3. Russia–Ukraine War

The war Russia launched on Ukraine in February 2022 is the largest inter-state conflict in Europe since 1945 and the sharpest test yet of India's strategic autonomy. It fractured the global economy along sanctions lines and forced India to defend a nuanced, interest-driven position.
